The Good Neighbor program has joined forces with the Foundation Fighting Blindness and the New York Yankees to launch Pitching for a Cure. The eventĀ took place in August and is the concept of MetFoods owner, Jason Ferreira, whose son, Jason. Jr., is affected with a degenerative retinal disease. This daylong event features appearance by former Yankee greats and the general manager Brian Cashman of the Yankees as a keynote speaker. It offers vendors, retailers and colleagues a great venue to get recognized for participating in such a worthwhile cause.
